FC Slovan Liberec extended their lead at the top of the 1. liga with a 3-1 win today.

Slovan steamroll Slavia
Slovan are four points clear of second-placed FK Viktoria Zizkov after an impressive 3-1 victory at SK Slavia Praha. Slavia are the only Czech team to have defeated Slovan since October but the visitors were the better side at the Strahov stadium today.

Two for Nezmar
Václav Koloušek celebrated his 26th birthday with a wonderful goal from a free-kick in the 54th minute, but Slavia new boy Filip Stiburek levelled only one minute later. However, Slovan top scorer Jirí Štajner finished his solo run in 74th minute with a shot which home goalkeeper Radek Cerný could only parry into the path of Jan Nezmar who had the simple task of firing home and Nezmar sealed the victory five minutes later.

Joy for Zizkov
Zizkov have taken second place in the table after winning 1-0 against SK Sigma Olomouc and, but for the efforts of Sigma's international goalkeeper Martin Vaniak, the result would have been much more emphatic. Michal Smarda's close-range strike beat the keeper but hit the post after 33 minutes but Slovakian substitute striker Tomas Oravec eventually broke Sigma's resistance just after the hour mark.

Opava crushed
SFC Opava headed further into the relegation abyss after a crushing 5-0 defeat at FK Jablonec 97, conceding four goals before half-time, while a Pavel Pergl goal was enough to give FC Príbram a 1-0 win against FK Drnovice who managed to hit the woodwork twice during the game.

Hradec make up for lost time
FK Teplice came from behind to beat fellow strugglers FK Chmel Blšany 2-1 while SK Hradec Králové made up for not scoring in the last three rounds by opening the scoring against CU Bohemians Praha in the first minute. Jan Kraus scored after just 20 seconds for Hradec and an own goal from Libor Janácek after 25 minutes sealed their win. The game between FC Brno and 1. FC Synot ended in a goalless draw.
