UEFA maintains Israel stance

UEFA has ruled that teams from Israel still cannot stage European competition matches on home soil for the time being. However, the situation will be reviewed again at the beginning of next year.

European football's governing body said on Friday that the UEFA Emergency Panel had come to the decision after discussing the issue. The panel noted that tensions and serious incidents are continuing in the region after a brief period of calm last summer.

Regular monitoring
UEFA has been reviewing the security situation on a regular basis for more than a year, since advising that European games should not be played in Israel.
