The first-ever election of a female member of the UEFA Executive Committee, and the application for UEFA membership by the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), are the main items on the agenda for the 40th Ordinary UEFA Congress, which takes place at the Hungexpo in Budapest, Hungary on Tuesday.

Delegates from UEFA's 54 member associations will be asked to vote for either of the two candidates standing for the female member's seat available on the UEFA Executive Committee. The term of office of the elected member will run until the electoral UEFA Congress in 2019.

The candidates are Karen Espelund (Norway) and Florence Hardouin (France). Until now, the UEFA Executive Committee has appointed the female member of the committee, with Karen Espelund holding the position as a full member since 2012.

Europe's national associations will vote on whether to make the Football Federation of Kosovo the 55th UEFA member association. Gibraltar was the last national association to join UEFA, following a vote at the London Congress in 2013.

Other items on the agenda include reports by the committee chairmen on the UEFA committees' activities over the past year, and ratification of the composition of the UEFA organs for the administration of justice, as well as the UEFA Governance and Compliance Committee.

The Budapest Congress will be streamed live on UEFA.org, and a press conference attended by UEFA General Secretary ad interim, Theodore Theodoridis, will be held after the end of the Congress.
