The report of the Independent Review Panel led by Dr. Brandão Rodrigues, which investigated the events surrounding the Champions League Final played in Paris on 28 May 2022, was published by UEFA on 13 February 2023.
Commissioned on 30 May 2022, it was compiled based on interviews and testimonies of numerous witnesses and key stakeholders, including fans of the participating teams.
The report provides:
- important lessons about how the Final’s organisation could have been improved;
- valuable recommendations to ensure better fan experience and safety at future events.
