Serie A's bottom side, AC Cesena, have announced the appointment of Mario Beretta to the helm, their third coach of the season.

Previous incumbent Daniele Arrigoni cancelled his contract by mutual consent on Monday, having only signed a short-term deal last November, when he replaced Marco Giampaolo. Beretta, who briefly took charge at Brescia Calcio last term, now assumes the reins with his new club seven points adrift of safety.

Cesena's 3-1 home defeat by AC Milan on Sunday, in Arrigoni's final match, meant they had taken just one point from the last 15 available. Arrigoni departs with an overall record of 13 points from 14 Serie A games.
