Alessandro Matri preserved Juventus's unbeaten run in Serie A with an 83rd-minute equaliser as the Bianconeri drew 1-1 with Scudetto rivals AC Milan.

In a pulsating match at San Siro, Antonio Nocerino (14), against his former club, opened the scoring for the league leaders with a shot which flew in off Leonardo Bonucci, seconds after the defender had given possession away to Robinho.

Juventus then survived loud Rossoneri appeals for a second goal after Gianluigi Buffon, having saved from Philippe Mexès, clawed back a header from Sulley Muntari. After the break, Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati blocked Fabio Quagliarella's close-range effort before Matri had a goal disallowed for offside. The substitute was not to be denied, however.

Seven minutes left, and with Juventus facing their first defeat in any competition since the penultimate league game of last season, the Italy striker turned in Simone Pepe's right-wing cross. Juventus, who then had Arturo Vidal (89) sent off for a challenge on Mark van Bommel, are a point behind Milan with a game in hand.

Earlier, Genoa CF recovered from two down to draw 2-2 at home against Parma FC, Rodrigo Palacio equalising six minutes into added time with his second of the game.
