Marco Tura has been elected as the new president of the San Marino Football Federation (FSGC).

A qualified industrial technician, 60-year-old Tura succeeds Giorgio Crescentini, who is stepping down after 32 years of outstanding service during which San Marino became members of UEFA and FIFA and developed an excellent footballing infrastructure.

Tura is a former referee who was San Marino's first match official at European level, and has served as president of the San Marino referee's association. He first joined the FSGC board in 2008, and became vice-president in 2013.

"This federation wants to achieve things," he said after his election, "and I will get to work immediately with my team to make sure that happens."
