Christian Andreasen has been confirmed as president of the Faroese Football Association (FSF) for the next four years. He was re-elected unanimously for a third term at the association’s general assembly at the weekend.

A goalkeeper for B68 Toftir's Tofta Ítróttarfelag in his youth, Andreasen studied law at the University of Copenhagen and went into practice back in the Faroe Islands, where he worked as legal adviser to the governing body. He was first elected president in 2010.

“I am very satisfied what we have accomplished these last years,” Andreasen said upon his re-election, “and that we have stability around the association and our work. I am also very happy with the cooperation between the FA and the clubs.”
