Article body
Grazer AK will take confidence into their UEFA Champions League campaign after winning the Austrian Super Cup final 3-0 against SK Sturm Graz.
Bazina inspires Grazer
In the showcase final at the Arnold Schwarzenegger stadium, Grazer comprehensively outplayed their opponents, taking the lead through Mario Bazina after 20 minutes. Bazina turned provider for Grazer's second as the half-time interval failed to revive their opponents, supplying the cross for Yugoslavian midfield player Boban Dmitrovic to beat goalkeeper Daniel Hoffman four minutes after the break.
Defensive error
Disheartened but still determined, Sturm attempted to battle their way back into the game but they were undone by a defensive error which gifted Grazer a third goal after 72 minutes. Swedish striker Jones Kusi-Asare was left with time and space to feed the ball to Ronald Brunmayr who gave Hoffman no chance.
