Members

Bolton Wanderers FC have signed defender Bernard Mendy on loan from Paris Saint Germain FC.

Bolton Wanderers FC today signed defender Bernard Mendy on a one-year loan from Paris Saint Germain FC.

Personal terms
The 20-year-old right-back has agreed personal terms at the Reebok Stadium - subject to a medical - with the club agreeing an option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Boost for Bolton
Manager Sam Allardyce told the club's official website, www.bwfc.co.uk: "It is a boost for the club that we are able to persuade Bernard to sign for the club. He's a very young and highly-rated full-back, and to get him from under the noses of some top European clubs is amazing. He'll create further competition for places in our defence."

Fifth summer signing
Mendy becomes Allardyce's fifth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jay-Jay Okocha, Youri Djorkaeff, Akin Bulent and Delroy Facey.
