Bolton Wanderers FC have signed the former Tottenham Hotspur FC striker Chris Armstrong.

Bolton Wanderers FC have signed the 31-year-old striker Chris Armstrong who was a free agent after being released by Tottenham Hotspur FC in the summer.

Fits the bill
Sam Allardyce, the Bolton manager, has been keen to boost his attacking options and believes Armstrong, who was troubled by injuries during his time at White Hart Lane, fits the bill. "Chris is a highly experienced player with a marvellous track record of scoring goals in the top flight," Allardyce said.

Disappointing start
Armstrong started only 117 league matches for Tottenham during his seven years at the club but scored on 48 occasions. Bolton have made a disappointing start to the English Premiership season, losing their first two games.
