Capital calls for Kolodine

Members

FC Krylya Sovetov Samara have decided to sell their Russia defender Denis Kolodine to FC Dinamo Moskva.

Financial troubles
With the club experiencing severe financial problems, they have elected to cash in on the versatile 23-year-old who can also play in midfield. Kolodine has signed a five-year contract with Dinamo though the transfer fee remains undisclosed.

Volgograd graduate
A product of the Olimpia Volgograd academy, Kolodine played for FC Uralan Elista before joining Krylya Sovetov in 2004. He appeared 37 times for the Samara club, scoring two goals. He also made his Russia debut in August 2004, in a friendly against Lithuania, and has four caps to date.

Record finish
Krylya Sovetov enjoyed their best-ever season in 2004/05, finishing third in Russia, but a financial crisis has hampered preparations for their first UEFA Cup campaign. They have already had to release Brazilian defender Moises and sell midfielder Andrei Kariaka to SL Benfica.
