The 32-year-old Dutch midfield player won the last of his 73 Netherlands caps in October 2004 shortly after joining Inter from Juventus FC, the club he represented 159 times in Serie A. In a career which has also seen him play for AC Milan, FC Barcelona and AFC Ajax, Davids has featured in four UEFA Champions League finals, tasting success with the Dutch club in 1995.
'Very excited'
Speaking today, Tottenham manager Martin Jol said: "I know everybody is very excited, he is a big player and the one we wanted. Edgar Davids is probably one of the most successful players of the last decade, he has played for five of the biggest clubs in Europe and he wants to play for Spurs."
