Levante UD have agreed to sign Cameroon forward Albert Meyong Zé. The 25-year-old was the top scorer in Portugal last season, hitting 17 goals in 26 league games for CF Os Belenenses. Meyong, capped six times, had only spent one season with the Lisbon club after five successful years in Setubal with Vitória FC.

Real Zaragoza midfielder David Generelo has been loaned to Spanish top-flight newcomers Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona for the season. The 23-year-old will link up with his new team-mates at their pre-season camp in Austria.

English Premiership newcomers Sheffield United FC have agreed to sign striker Rob Hulse on a three-year deal from first division Leeds United AFC for €3m, a fee which could rise depending on appearances. The 26-year-old spent one season at Elland Road, scoring 13 goals in 42 league games, after leaving West Bromwich Albion FC.

The 42-year-old former ACF Fiorentina and VfB Stuttgart midfielder Dunga has become the new coach of Brazil, replacing Carlos Alberto Parreira who left after guiding the five-times winners to the 2006 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals. Dunga's appointment follows the example set by Germany and the Netherlands in appointing former playing greats Jürgen Klinsmann and Marco van Basten rather than experienced names.

The Belgian Super Cup is to be replayed in full on Friday 1 September, after heavy rain forced the half-time postponement of the match between champions RSC Anderlecht and cup winners SV Zulte Waregem at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium. Saturday's game was goalless when the heavens opened.

Former Switzerland forward Patrick de Napoli has left FC Luzern for German second division side FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The 30-year-old, capped four times between 1997 and 1999, has signed a two-year-contract.
