'A step forward'
With 29 caps to his name, the former Panathinaikos FC player was part of the Cameroon side that won the 2003 African Cup of Nations. Epallé has agreed a contract until 2010 with his new club after a reported €600,000 transfer fee was paid to Iraklis. "Bochum is a step forward in my career", said Epallé. Bochum board member Stefan Kuntz added: "Joël Epallé is a fast and dangerous player with international experience, and we are convinced he will fit in well at Bochum."
