Article body
Brief stay
The 22-year-old midfield player had moved to Italy from Swiss club Lausanne-Sports last summer, but found his first-team opportunities limited by a new rule allowing second-division clubs to field only one player from non-European Union countries per game. Consequently, Lutsenko, who had signed a two-year deal, demanded a transfer.
Early impact
A product of the FC Dynamo Kyiv academy, Lutsenko joined Belgian side RSC Anderlecht at the age of 15 having impressed at the UEFA European Under-16 Championship in 1995. After three years with Anderlecht's youth sides, he switched to Lausanne, where he became a key member of the team that twice finished second and once third in the Nationalliga A. But after the club were relegated last season, Lutsenko made clear his intention to leave.
Busy time
The Ukrainian Under-21 international becomes Dinamo's seventh signing as the club, who were eighth in the Russian top flight in 2002, seek to revive their fortunes. He made an instant impact when scoring the only goal of a friendly victory against SK Slavia Praha last weekend.
