Left-sided midfield player Melabianakis has signed a contract with Olympiakos until June 2007. The 22-year-old actually started his career with Olympiakos but has since been playing for Egaleo FC, Chania FC and most recently Fostiras, a second division team. After nine games this season, Olympiakos have brought the Greek Under-21 international back on a full professional contract
Point to prove
Boateng has left Panathinaikos FC on a six-month loan to OFI Crete FC. The 20-year-old Ghana midfield player has struggled to win a regular first-team spot at the Athens club. He said: "I came to OFI, because it is a team that will give me the chance to play and show my potential." Boateng came to Greece at the age of 16 and played from July 1999 until December 2000 with Kalamata FC, before joining Panathinaikos.
Digozis joins
Elsewhere in Greece, Akratitos FC have signed Angelos Digozis on an 18-month contract after he agreed a free transfer from Olympiakos Nicosia FC. The 29-year-old Greek defensive midfielder had joined the Cypriot club last summer.
