The aim of our project is to raise awareness of the importance of diversity in Finnish football and help to plan and implement a diversity plan as part of a football strategy for the period 2016–2020.
The main objective of the project is to ensure that all stakeholders in Finnish football understand the various issues and the benefits of diversity, and that they are able to interact with people from all different backgrounds in a spirit of inclusivity and respect.
The main outcomes of the project are (i) diversity/anti-racism training for referees, coaches and football leaders/administrators, and (ii) the establishment of a diversity plan for Finnish football. That diversity plan will help to highlight the issues of equality and diversity in Finnish football.
