The 'Total Football – Total Access to Work' project provides national associations and football clubs across eastern Europe with guidance on recruiting and employing disabled people by creating an easily replicable model with the aid of a practical case study and a toolkit.
This project employs the social model of disability and aims to tackle the attitudinal barriers and negative stereotypes that often still exist when it comes to the employment of disabled people.
It looks at the benefits experienced by organisations that actively recruit a more diverse range of people and recognises the potential for recruiting from a larger talent pool (i.e. one that includes society's largest minority group – disabled people). It thereby seeks to foster greater inclusivity across society as a whole.
