The European Amputee Football Federation's Mateusz Szczepaniak hailed a "special atmosphere" after teams showcased their skills at the UEFA Champions Festival in Berlin.

Amputee football has been showcased in front of a youthful and sizeable crowd at the UEFA Champions Festival in Berlin.

Teams from Spain and Poland entertained with their skills on the mini-pitch in the year of the creation of the European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF), which has gained UEFA support. Cheered on by fans in town to support FC Barcelona at the Olympiastadion, the Spanish team ran out 8-2 winners.

"It was a great experience for the lads on both teams and we are very happy to be here," said EAFF's Mateusz Szczepaniak. "The atmosphere is special and it's a great advertisement of our sport. To those who don't know so much about amputee football, I have one message: watch us more often and follow what we do through social media."
