Europe's 55 national football associations can apply for UEFA funding to support their sustainability initiatives. For example, each year, the HatTrick development programme, which channels EURO revenue back into the game, specifically earmarks funding for football & sustainability initiatives.
UEFA Football Sustainability Strategy 2030 action points:
- Develop training materials and guidelines for associations covering topics such as racism, child and youth protection, equality and inclusion
- Share best practices across the entire European football ecosystem
- Initiate Europe-wide advocacy campaigns
- Set up a rapid response process that ensures European football can quickly provide relief, in the form of solidarity grants, during humanitarian emergencies.
