FK Chmel Blšany have named Günter Bittengel as their new coach for the rest of the season.
Bittengel succeeds Miroslav Beranek, who resigned in the wake of the 4 November home defeat by CU Bohemians Praha.
Second from bottom
That defeat, after 13 matches, was the club's seventh defeat in a row and they currently lie second from bottom in the 1.liga after 16 matches going into the winter break.
A former striker with Dukla Praha, the 35-year-old Bittengel won five international caps for Czechoslovakia during his playing days.
