Serie A's top scorer Vincenzo Montella has renewed his contract with AS Roma, committing himself to the Giallorossi until 2010 when he will be 36.
Proud to sign
"I'm proud of being able to play with Roma for so many years," Montella said after penning the new deal. "I signed because I fully trust the club. I'm sure we will be back among the top Italian teams next season."
Roma are seventh in Serie A, ten points from fourth place and UEFA Champions League qualification. Montella, who has scored 20 goals in 29 games this season, joined Roma in 1999 from UC Sampdoria, helping the capital club win the Scudetto in 2001.
