Kitanovski replaces caretaker coach Lazar Iliev, who took the helm for the last five matches before the winter break after Perica Gruevski left the club. "I had contact [with the club] before the new year and have decided to return," said Kitanovski, who was in charge of Tikves two years ago. "Eleven players are still here from the period when I led the side, so
I can say that I know the team."
Kitanovski formerly led Macedonia's Under-21 side. His last job as a club coach was with FK Pelister. Tikves lie seventh in the table with 24 points, 12 behind leaders FK Belasica GC but only four behind third-placed FK Sileks. "With a good series of results we can get back among the leading teams, because the gap is not so big," Kitanovski said. "However we need some reinforcements in defence."
