Curmi to handle Hamrun

Hamrun Spartans FC have named Patrick Curmi as the replacement for coach Atanas Marinov.

Hamrun Spartans FC have appointed Patrick Curmi as their new coach.

'Main objective'
The 43-year-old has signed a one-year deal to replace Bulgarian Atanas Marinov, who joined Valletta FC at the end of the 2002/03 season. "Our main objective will be to secure our Premier League status," he said. "It is quite a challenge."

Familiar ground
The former Marsa FC, Pietà Hotspurs FC and Lija Athletic FC trainer returns to the Victor Tedesco stadium for a second spell as coach. Curmi will be assisted by Hamrun's veteran striker Stefan Sultana, who will combine coaching duties with playing ones.
