FK Mladost Podgorica have won their first major trophy, Marko Marković's own goal for OFK Petrovac in extra time giving them a 2-1 victory in the Montenegrin Cup final.
Marko Šćepanović had given Mladost the lead inside 20 minutes, only for a defensive blunder to allow Ivan Knežević to equalise. The dismissal of Petrovac goalkeeper Nemanja Popović for handling outside his box two minutes before the interval tilted the tie in Mladost's favour, but the ten men fought bravely.
They were undone in the 106th minute, Marković putting the ball into his own net under pressure from Bogdan Milić after Miloš Djalacꞌs cross from the right.
"This is a big moment for us and our club," said Mladost coach Aleksandar Nedović. "We were lucky at the end, but probably we deserved to win much earlier. Our aim ahead the season was to fight for both trophies – we got one and we have to be very satisfied with that."
Petrovac counterpart Milorad Malovrazić added: "That's football – one moment can decide a whole game. I must congratulate my players and wish them more luck in the future."
