Železnik defeat costs Nikolic

Serbia and Montenegro's FK Železnik have sacked coach Sasa Nikolic after a losing start to the season.
In the wake of their 1-0 opening-day defeat by OFK Beograd, Serbia and Montenegro's FK Železnik have sacked coach Sasa Nikolic.

'Worst day of my life'
The 39-year-old Serbian, who last season led the club to fifth place in the Prva Savezna Liga and the cup semi-finals, said: "This is the worst day of my life. I have spent ten years with Železnik, first as a goalkeeper, then as assistant coach and then as coach. But this is football, I understand that I am judged on results."

Announcement soon
Železnik director Jovan Dimitrijevic added: "We must change something. Nikolic did a good job, but we want better motivation and better results." The club's new coach is expected to be named in the next few days.
