Dedic banned for six months

FC Vorskla Poltava midfield player Rusmin Dedic has been banned and his Ukrainian club docked three points.

The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has banned Rusmin Dedic for six months and reversed FC Vorskla Poltava's victory against FC Illychivets Mariupil, after the Vorskla midfield player failed a drugs test following the 9 November match.

Club fined
The 21-year-old Slovenian was introduced as a substitute in the 75th minute of his team's 3-1 home win, but was later found to have an excessive amount of testosterone in his bloodstream. Dedic will now miss the rest of the Ukrainian season, while the FFU's control and disciplinary body also fined Vorskla €3,000.

Illichivets climb
The points deduction sees the Poltava side drop from eighth to 13th position in the Premier League, while the award of three points moves Illichivets up from eleventh to eighth. In July the FFU banned FC Karpaty Lviv midfield player Yaroslav Khoma for seven months after he tested positive for a banned substance.
