Hamburger SV have signed Slovenian Under-21 player Miso Brecko from NK Šmartno on a two-year deal.

Hamburger SV have signed Slovenian Under-21 international Miso Brecko from NK Šmartno on a two-year contract.

Arrival next summer
The 19-year-old will join the German club in July 2004, when he will link up with the first-team squad for pre-season training. The Hamburg coaching staff will then decide whether Brecko will spend next season with the senior squad or with the reserves.

Assistant coach named
Hamburg have also announced that the former VfL Bochum 1848 goalkeeper and Ghana coach Ralf Zumdick will be the club's new assistant coach working alongside Klaus Toppmöller. He will begin his duties in January.
