Flachi faces time out

UC Sampdoria forward Francesco Flachi will be out of action for about six weeks with damaged ankle ligaments.

UC Sampdoria forward Francesco Flachi will be out of action for about six weeks after twisting his right ankle during last Saturday's 2-0 win against Reggina Calcio.

Ligament damage
The 28-year-old limped out in the second half of the match at the Luigi Ferraris stadium. Today he underwent a scan, which confirmed he had sustained damage to his ankle ligaments. Flachi, who is currently in his fifth season with Sampdoria, has scored seven goals in 17 games this term.
