Boavista FC kept up the pressure on the league leaders with a 1-0 win over fellow title-chasers SL Benfica on Sunday.

Boavista FC kept up the pressure on leaders Sporting Clube de Portugal on Sunday evening with a 1-0 win over fellow title-chasers  SL Benfica.

Silva on target
Brazilian striker Elpídio Silva scored the only goal of the game after six minutes, taking his tally for the season to four. Fourth-placed Benfica's pursuit of the leaders has slipped recently and they have now lost two and drawn one of their last three games.
