Mykland in the cold at 1860

TSV 1860 München midfield player Erik Mykland has been told he will never play for the club again.

TSV 1860 München midfield player Erik Mykland's relationship with coach Peter Pacult has reached a new low after the Norwegian international was told he would never play for the club again.

'Rights and duties'
"There'll be no talk of Mykland getting back into the squad as long as I'm in charge here," Pacult said in Oslo-based newspaper Dagbladet. "A professional player has rights but also duties. When Mykland said that he never wanted to see my face again it was this statement that caused the cup to overflow."

No regrets
When the 30-year-old Mykland returned to training on Thursday he was immediately informed of Pacult's decision and was ordered to train with the club's injured players instead. Although Mykland is unsure of his future he does not regret calling his coach "a coward" after he was substituted during a game last year.

'I don't feel humiliated'
"I know that I'm good enough for this team," he said. "This certainly means that I don't feel humiliated and I still stand by everything I said about the trainer. My family and I will stay here until we find a European club where all of us will fit in."
