Kovrlija back at Lucani

Jovan Kovrlija has been reappointed as the coach of Yugoslavian side FK Mladost Lucani.

Jovan Kovrlija has been reappointed as the coach of Yugoslavian 1st Liga side FK Mladost Lucani, it was announced on Monday.

Karasi departs
Former coach Stanislav Karasi resigned on 20 December 2001 after friction with Lucani chairman Vicentije Petrovic, despite turning around the club's results at the end of last year.

‘Perspective club’
Kovrlija started the Yugoslav first division season with Lucani, but resigned in October after disputes with club officials. "I have come back because I think that Mladost is one of the most perspective clubs in Yugoslavia," he said in a press conference.

’Football centre’
Kovrlija expressed hope that Lucani will become a football centre in Yugoslavia: "We have to do everything we can to make Lucani a football centre," he said.
