A win on Saturday sees PSV Eindhoven topping the Eredivisie on a night when goals were rare in the Netherlands.
PSV sleepwalk to victory
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scored the only goal of PSV's game with SC Fortuna Sittard after just six minutes, and although they were not in sparkling form, PSV received little resistance from their relegation-threatened opponents.
Goal drought hits the Netherlands
There were no goals at the ARKE stadium as De Graafschap earned a rare point away from home at the expense of FC Twente, and it was a similar story at the Alkmaarderhout as AZ Alkmaar stifled SBV Vitesse, although the visitors' Didier Martel went close with a free-kick.
Den Bosch triumph
The only other goal of the night went to FC Den Bosch striker Bart van den Eede who scored the winner against RKC Waalwijk a minute before half-time. The Belgian striker surged through to collect a long ball and slotted the ball past visiting keeper Rob van Dijk to give Den Bosch victory.
