Panathinaikos FC drew level with Greek league leaders AEK Athens FC after a 1-0 win against Akratitos.

Panathinaikos squeeze through
The Athenian side made heavy work of their relegation-threatened opponents despite the home advantage but Michael Konstantinou's 34th-minute strike proved enough to give the home side a decisive advantage. However, Panathanaikos may not be level for long at the top given all the other top-five sides are in action on Sunday.

Ionikos slump at Iraklis
In Saturday's other game, Ionikos's slide towards the relegation zone continued with a 3-0 defeat against Iraklis FC in Thessalonika. Ieroklis Stoltidis opened the scoring for the home side after 18 minutes and Brazilian striker Ederson Fofonka added two more goals to leave the Nikea side just two points clear of Ethnikos Asteras and the relegation places.
