Portugal round-up: Pinto heads Sporting to victory

Ladislao Bölöni's Sporting Clube de Portugal beat Vitória Guimarães 1-0 to go four points clear at the top of the 1. Liga.

A João Pinto goal gave Sporting Clube de Portugal a 1-0 win against Vitória Guimarães on Friday night to send Ladislao Bölöni's side four points clear of Boavista FC at the top of the 1. Liga. 

Pinto influential
Pinto, who was influential throughout, headed the only goal of the game on 39 minutes after he rose well to dispatch an excellent cross from Pedro Barbosa and give Sporting their second successive 1-0 win.
