Netherlands round-up: Sérgio strikes boost Breda

NAC Breda climbed fifth in the Eredivisie as Sérgio struck twice in a 3-1 win against AZ Alkmaar.
NAC Breda moved into fifth place in the Eredivisie on Friday as Brazilian forward Sérgio struck twice in a 3-1 home win against AZ Alkmaar.

Substitute goalkeeper
Sérgio opened the scoring shortly after the half-hour with a fierce drive from distance, which goalkeeper Arnold Nijkamp, a substitute for the injured Oscar Moens, was helpless to stop.

Decisive penalty
Although Robin Nelisse equalised on 61 minutes, with a finish through the legs of Gabor Babos, AZ were unable to hold on for a draw. Csaba Feher made it 2-1 from the penalty spot after Barry Opdam was ruled to have fouled Tamas Peto and Sérgio added a third from an indirect free-kick in the last minute. The defeat means Alkmaar remain ninth in the table.
