FC Twente defender Erik Ten Haag has been told that he can leave the club in the summer.

FC Twente defender Erik Ten Haag has been told that he can leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.

Vast experience
The 32-year-old centre-back, who has spent nine of the last 13 seasons at Twente in three separate spells, will be allowed to leave the Het Diekman stadium on a free transfer. Ten Haag, who has also played for De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk and FC Utrecht intends to look for another club.

Out with the old
Fellow defender Andre Karnebeek, 31, has also been told he can leave as Twente seek to bring in younger players into their squad.
