Georgia round-up: Dramatic win for Torpedo

FC Torpedo Kutaisi continued their march towards another Georgian Premier League title.

FC Torpedo Kutaisi continued their march towards a third consecutive Georgian Premier League title with a dramatic 1-0 win over second-placed FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi.

Late winner
The game was heading towards a goalless stalemate when Givi Didava struck a 90th-minute winner for the visitors, to keep them in pole position in the championship group.

Batumi go third
FC Dinamo Batumi went third courtesy of another last-minute winner from Paata Machutadze which secured a 1-0 win over FC Merani-91 Tbilisi. Close on their heels are FC Dinamo Tbilisi who scraped a 1-0 win over FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti thanks to a Giorgi Mikadze strike in the 27th minute.

Goal action
The relegation group provided far more goal action with FC Sioni Bolnisi hitting five past FC Metalurgi Zestaponi without reply. Juri Gabiskiria, Giorgi Koridze, Bakhva Moseshvili, Shalva Isiani, and Lasha Chagelishvili all got their names on the scoresheet.

WIT top of relegation group
FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi stayed top of the pack despite drawing 2-2 with FC Gorda 2000 Rustavi while FC Samgurali Tskaltubo beat bottom-placed FC Guria Lanchkhuti 3-0 in the day's other game.
