Song in tune with Galatasaray

Cameroonian international Rigobert Song has joined Turkish club Galatasaray SK from FC Lens.

Experienced Cameroonian defender Rigobert Song has joined Turkish Superleague club Galatasaray SK from RC Lens in a €1.5m deal.

Two-year contract
Song, capped 107 times by Cameroon, has signed a two-year contract with the option for a further 12 months. The 28-year-old began his professional career in 1994 with FC Metz, and has since played for Italian side Salernitana Sport, England’s Liverpool FC and West Ham United FC, and German team 1.FC Köln, before moving to Lens in 2002.

International honours
Captain of Cameroon, Song helped his nation to victory in the 2000 and 2002 African Cup of Nations and played at the 1994, 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup finals.
