Bastürk blow for Berliners

Hertha BSC Berlin's Yildiray Bastürk will miss the start of the season after suffering a calf injury.
Hertha BSC Berlin playmaker Yildiray Bastürk will be out for six weeks after suffering a calf injury.

Hartmann challenge
The 25-year-old Turkish international, who joined Hertha on a free transfer from Bayer 04 Leverkusen earlier in the summer, picked up the injury after a challenge from Michael Hartmann during Hertha's summer training camp in Walchsee, Austria.

Treatment in Germany
Bastürk has already returned to Germany where the injury will be treated. He is almost certain to miss the first three games of the 2004/05 Bundesliga season, including Hertha's opener against VfL Bochum in the Olympiastadion on 7 August.
