FC København have completed their third signing of the week by luring experienced Sweden defender Per Nilsson from 1. FC Nürnberg.
The 31-year-old centre-back has inked a three-year deal with the Danish Super League runners-up and teams up with recent recruits, Belgian midfielder Steve De Ridder and Denmark goalkeeper Stephan Andersen.
"I'm really looking forward to joining København. There is a great opportunity to win trophies here, and qualifying for next year's Champions League will be our immediate aim," said Nilsson, who made 73 Bundesliga appearances for now-relegated Nürnberg after joining from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2010.
FCK coach Ståle Solbakken added: "We have acquired a player with lots of experience from one of the strongest leagues in the world. He has great ability in both boxes. Furthermore, he has great leadership qualities, making him a perfect candidate for captain. He's a player with big ambitions and has proved that by becoming a regular fixture for Sweden."
