Belgian side KRC Genk have announced the signing of Orlando Engelaar from NAC Breda. The midfield player, who turns 25 next week, has agreed a four-year contract, having originally joined NAC from Feyenoord in 2000. He will make a farewell appearance for the Eredivisie club against FC Utrecht on Saturday before moving two days later. NAC general manager Theo Mommers said: "It is a huge loss to see him leave for Genk."
Another Belgian team, R. Charleroi SC, have signed Grégory Christ from French fourth division outfit RC Paris. The 21-year-old midfield player has penned a two-year deal with a two-year extension option. Christ is able to play on either wing and was named his division's best passer last season.

PSV Eindhoven's Portuguese forward Edson is switching to Tottenham Hotspur FC of the Premiership. Born in Cape Verde, the 21-year-old has followed former PSV general manager Frank Arnesen, Tottenham's new sporting director, to London. Edson's contract terms are undisclosed.

A member of Spain's winning team at last month's UEFA European Under-19 Championship, he was injured in a car accident on 6 August while travelling to Madrid to sign for the Primera División newcomers. Getafe have also loaned reserve goalkeeper Noé Calleja to second division Algeciras CF.
