Danish duo Lasse Vibe and Søren Rieks scored second-half goals as IFK Göteborg came from behind to win the Swedish Cup final 2–1 against Örebro SK and seal their seventh triumph in the competition.
IFK were clear pre-game favourites, the current Allsvenskan leaders taking on the league's bottom club, and another element in Göteborg's favour was the fact the game was played at their Gamla Ullevi ground.
Still it was Örebro, chasing a first piece of silverware in the club's history, who went ahead midway through the first half thanks to South African midfielder Ayanda Nkili.
The underdogs held on to the lead until the 67th when Danish international Vibe pounced on a cross from Emil Salomonsson. Vibe's compatriot Rieks then provided Göteborg's winning effort, once again after an attack initialised by right-back Salomonsson.
"It was a typical final," said Jörgen Lennartsson, in his first season as coach of IFK. "We had discussed what we'd do if they took the lead. The tempo was always going to be important. We knew that if we just kept working, and maintained the tempo, our chances would come."
