Leicester City are Premier League champions!

Leicester City, 5,000-1 outsiders at the start of the season, have won the English Premier League title to complete one of the greatest sporting fairy tales of all time.

Leicester City have won the English Premier League title to complete one of the greatest sporting fairy tales of all time.

Tottenham's 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Monday leaves Claudio Ranieri's side with an unassailable seven-point lead at the English summit with two games remaining.

It completes a remarkable triumph for a side that started the campaign as 5,000-1 outsiders for the title after almost being relegated last season. They have beaten the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, and with two games remaining the Foxes have suffered just three defeats.

This is a first ever top-flight triumph for an outfit in their 133rd year. After collecting their trophy the next big date will be August, when Leicester will discover their opponents in the UEFA Champions League group stage. As title holders, they will be seeded in Pot 1.
