"How do you think it feels to win the league at 21?" said midfielder Jevgeņijs Kazačoks after his youthful Spartaks Jūrmala won their first Latvian title with a 2-0 victory on Satuday.

Spartaks Jūrmala have claimed their maiden Latvian title with a game to go following a 2-0 victory against RFS on Saturday.
Spartaks were ten points clear of second-placed Ventspils in September, but Oleg Kubarev's men stalled and allowed both Ventspils and Jelgava back into the race. However, with Ventspils losing against lowly METTA, Andrejs Kiriļins's header and Evgeni Kozlov's late strike pushed them over the line.
"I am very happy for the team, for our fans, for everyone who supported us," Kubarev said. "It was a tough season – hardly surprising as we have a very young team, our average age is 23." Midfielder Jevgeņijs Kazačoks added: "How does it feel? How do you think it feels to win the league at 21? I am very happy and very tired. The trophy was a lot heavier than I expected."
