Everton sew up Yobo signing

Joseph Yobo has joined English FA Premiership side Everton FC from Olympique de Marseille.

Nigerian FIFA World Cup player Joseph Yobo has joined English FA Premiership side Everton FC from Olympique de Marseille.

Initial one-year contract
The 21-year old defender has signed an initial one-year contract with an option of four more years, the club anounced on their official website. The transfer fee could eventually rise to €7.8m and Yobo will officially become David Moyes' first signing as Everton manager if he is granted a work permit.

'Nigeria's best player'
Moyes said: "As far as I'm concerned, he's Nigeria's best player and I'm sure he'll go on to captain his country. He played in several different positions for his country in the World Cup which gives us a great opportunity to use him just where we see fit."
