Osasuna snap up Uruguayan

Club Atlético Osasuna have signed Uruguayan international midfield player Pablo García on loan.

Club Atlético Osasuna have snapped up Uruguayan international midfield player Pablo García on loan from Italian side AC Venezia.

Atlético spell
The former Milan AC player is looking forward to proving himself to Spanish fans after an unsuccessful spell with Atlético de Madrid between 1998 and 2001.

Revenge
"I arrived at Atlético when I was 18 and played in the second division but now I have the chance for revenge," he said. "Osasuna have opened their doors to me and I'll do my very best as a team player as long as I am there."

Fifth signing
The 25-year-old, who becomes Mexican coach Javier Aguirre's fifth close-season signing, has also played for Uruguayan giants Peñarol and Chilean side Santiago Wanderers. The Spanish campaign kicks off next Saturday.
