Železnik merger solves crisis

Serbo-Montenegrin Cup winners FK Železnik have responded to their problems by merging with FK Vozdovac.
Serbo-Montenegrin Cup winners FK Železnik have responded to the financial problems that have prevented them taking up their UEFA Cup place, by completing a merger with second division side FK Vozdovac, another club from the Belgrade suburbs.

Železnik base
The new entity will be called FK Vozdovac and will play in the top flight, or First League, where Železnik finished ninth last season. The club will also be based at Železnik given that team's superior stadium and infrastructure, while Vozdovac president Branislav Pavlovic will oversee the operation as club president. A coach will be named in the next few days.
