Moss FK have sacked coach Erik Brakstad after a string of poor results which left the side second from bottom of the Norwegian Tippeligaen.
Tangen takes over
Brakstad, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the 2003 season, has been offered paid leave until the close of the present season. Rune Tangen will charge of coaching duties for the remaining matches.
'Forced to react'
"We are in a very unfortunate position in the league and we simply had to react," said club president Knut Evensen. It is not the first time Brakstad has been in this position. Two years ago he was sacked by Molde FK, while he quit Bryne FK last year when the club was in relegation danger.
